Restylane in Baltimore

Restylane treatments have been helping men and women add volume back into sunken or thinned areas of the face for years. This reliable injectable treatment is a fan-favorite, and for good reason. Located in Baltimore Green Relief Health offers Restylane to patients who wish to have plump, rejuvenated skin.

This collection of injectable hyaluronic acid fillers offers natural results to smooth out wrinkles and folds on the face, add volume to the lips, and smooth lines around the mouth. Similar to the Juvederm products, they can also add volume to the cheeks. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a substance that is naturally produced by your body. Its functions include providing elasticity and fullness to the skin. With age, the production of HA diminishes. The Restylane family of injectable hyaluronic acid fillers will smooth lines, soften folds, and replace lost volume giving you a natural, more youthful look.

Overview of the Restylane Injectables:

Restylane-L: The original Restylane product and still a major product in the industry, Restylane-L can be used to add volume and fullness to the skin and to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). Restylane may also be used for lip enhancement.

Restylane Refyne: One of the newer products offered in the U.S., it features XpresHAn Technology to soften marionette lines and nasolabial folds. The technology allows the natural look of the face to be maintained while also reducing wrinkles.

Restylane Kysse: Is a new hyaluronic acid (HA) lip filler designed to enhance lip volume and minimize the appearance of fine lines above the mouth. It has also been shown to improve texture and lip color.

Restylane Kysse is the first HA lip filler formulated with XpresHAn Technology for smooth, natural-looking results, approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The XpresHAn Technology manufacturing process allows for a gel that integrates into the skin for natural expression in motion.

Patients may also consider Juvederm products, another family of hyaluronic acid based fillers.

Immediately after your treatment, there may be slight redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, and an itching sensation in the treated area.  This is a normal result of the injection. The inconvenience is temporary and generally disappears in a day or two. If the inconvenience continues or if other reactions occur, please contact our office.

The initial swelling after treatments may last longer than two days. Some patients experience swelling for about a week and the injected area can look somewhat uneven during this time. This means that the result directly after the treatment should not be seen as the final result. It may take 2 to 4 weeks to even out.

After 3 to 6 weeks, we may want to re-evaluate the need for additional treatment. Vertical lip lines will not go away completely, but they will soften in appearance.

After any treatment with fillers, you may feel lumpy and/or bumpy for a few weeks or even months afterwards. This is normal. The key is to not to see the lumps.

After 3 hours when Lidocaine wears off, if you feel any excessive heat or burning in or close to the injected areas, please call Green Relief Health immediately.

Avoid touching the treated area for 3 to 4 hours following the injection.  After that, light make-up can be applied, and the area can be gently washed with soap and water. Until the initial swelling and redness have resolved, do not expose the treated area to intense heat (i.e., sunbathing, or tanning bed) or extreme cold.

If you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to more cold sores. If you are using aspirin or any similar medication, be aware that these may increase the bruising and bleeding at the injection site. You may take Tylenol for discomfort.

Please avoid alcohol and exercise for 12 hours following the injection and be sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

You may gently apply an ice pack to the treated area for 10 minutes an hour for the first 3 hours following the injection. Apply lightly, do not use too much pressure.

Dermal fillers gradually dissolve. The correction does not last forever. Many people choose to be treated again within 4 to 6 months of the original treatment. However, this time frame can vary depending upon the area that was treated and the product that was used.
